John W. Rauch

Mr. John William Rauch, age 73, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018. He was born in Bay City, Michigan on February 2, 1944 to Walter & Dorothy (Ferris) Rauch and served his country in the US Army. He married the former Diana Toler on November 21, 1964. Mr. Rauch had been employed by General Motors for 33 years until retiring. He then worked at the Home Depot in Bay City and Grand Haven. John was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Bay City and Grace Lutheran Church in Muskegon. John was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved baby sitting his grandkids and became known as "grandpa tickler". He will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Wife of 53 years, Diana; sons, Jeffrey Rauch of NC & Jason (Jennifer) Rauch of West Olive; grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Katherine & Connor Rauch; sister, Ramona Widman of FL; nieces & nephews, Kelly, Rand many special cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICE Friday, January 19, 2018, 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church in Muskegon with Rev. Timothy Winkel officiating. Interment in Floral Gardens in Bay City. VISITATION Thursday, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Clock Funeral Home-Grand Haven and Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIAL: Susan Mast Foundation, ALS Foundation or Grace Lutheran Church.
