John "Piper" Mercer Jr.

Mr. John G. "Piper" Mercer Jr., age 77, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on January 22, 1938 to John & Ruth (Schumacher) Mercer and served his country in the US Navy. He married the former Patricia Brown on April 28, 1967 and had been employed at Harbor Steel and the DNR. John was a member of First Congregational Church UCC and usher for several years and was the Head of Muskegon Sport Fishing. SURVIVORS Wife of 48 years, Patricia; son, John Grayson Mercer IV.
