John B. Mazurek

Mr. John B. Mazurek, age 92, died peacefully Saturday, February 2, 2008. He was born on February 8, 1915 in Cedar, MI to Joseph and Helen (Pete) Mazurek. John married Eleanor Maslowski on January 26, 1940 and she died on September 29, 2001. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, and retired from Muskegon Catholic High School. John is survived by his children, Marjorie (Marvin) Bell, Jerry (Margaret) Mazurek and John, Jr. (Lynn) Mazurek all of Muskegon, MI; 11 grandchildren, John, Marvin, and James (Mary) Bell, Christine (Jerry) Cain, Alan Mazurek, Marianne (Wyatt) Eggleton, Landy, Scott, and Jason Mazurek; 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ann Mazurek; a special friend, Sister Eileen; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, Brian Mazurek, Kimberly Bell and Esta Bell, his parents and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 12pm noon Thursday at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Burial will be made in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Cedar, MI. Visitation only at the church one hour prior to service time. Memorial contributions to Hackley Hospice VNS and St. Michaels Church Divine Mercy Chapel.
