JOHNSON, MR. JOHN E. Laketon Townshp Mr. John E. Johnson, age 99, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004. He was born in Wallin, MI on June 11, 1905 to John & Anna Hoaga Johnson & married the former Fern Beden on December 22, 1929 in Illinois. Mr. Johnson had been employed as a Machinist at Teledyne Continental Motors for 24 years until retiring in 1963. He was a member of Giles Road Baptist Church, where he was a former Deacon. Mr. Johnson loved hunting, fishing, bowling, gardening & loved to play the harmonica. He was very proud of the three homes he was able to build by hand, without power tools. SURVIVORS Wife of 74 years Fern Etta Beden Johnson; 2 daughters, Dolores Stafford of Muskegon & Evelyn Robert Josaitis of Grand Rapids; 2 sons, John W. Jolly Johnson of Fruitport & Marvin L. Johnson of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchild & many other relatives & friends. He was preceded in death by his 4 brothers & 2 sisters. SERVICE Monday, August 30, 2004, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Darrell Storvik officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 1-4 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
