John Hamilton

Mr. John S. Hamilton, age 75, died Friday, February 27, 2009. He was born in Odessa, TX on September 21, 1933 to Johnnie & Ressie (Owens) Hamilton. He had won a singing scholarship to college but chose to stay home to take care of his mother with cancer. John married the former Joyce Jackson on March 26, 1960. Mr. Hamilton had been a derrick man in the oil fields, traveling all over the world and settled down to become a superintendent at Western Contracting. He will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Wife, Joyce; daughters, Stacy (Mike) Lewis, Terri (Manny) Rojas, both of AZ; sons, John (Diosa) Hamilton of FL, Tracy Hamilton of Fremont; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother, Robert; sister, Katherine; half brother, Jack Cole. SERVICE Private Family Services will be held.
