John W. Dolislager

DOLISLAGER, MR. JOHN W. Norton Shores Mr. John W. Dolislager, age 87, died Thursday, May 27, 2004. He was born in Muskegon, MI on July 27, 1916 to Adrian & Nellie Groeneveld Dolislager & married the former Ellen Cleveland in 1942 & she died in 1972. He then married Ann Alkema in 1974 & she died in 1995. Mr. Dolislager had served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He been employed as a Tool & Die Maker at Shaw Walker for 35 years until retiring. He was a member of Berean Church, Muskegon Rock Club & was a skilled woodcarver. SURVIVORS 1 son, David Peggy Dolislager of Twin Lake; 1 step-daughter, Paula John Springstead; 2 step-sons, Steve Bernadette Thomas & Frank Carol Thomas; 1 son-in-law, Michael Olejarczyk; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Betty May, Gertrude Yonkers & Ada Door; 1 brother, Gerrit Mina Dolislager. He was preceded in death by his 2 wives, daughter, Janet Ann Olejarczyk in 1984 & a sister, Lena Brown in 2002. SERVICE Saturday, May 29, 2004, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel with Pastor Craig Apel officiating. Interment at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
