John Henry Dewitt

Dewitt, John, Henry 09/29/1924 - 08/08/2022 Muskegon, Mi. John Dewitt passed away on Monday, August 8th at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence at the age of 97. John lived a full and busy life doing what he loved doing well into his 90s. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He spent many winters in Florida, a place he loved. John was a great cook and loved making candy, and baking cookies and pies for his family. John was a member at St. Michaels Church. He also proudly served the nation in WWII and returned home with many medals including a Purple Heart. John was preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn, Son's Jim, and Jack. Daughter Arlene Nummerdor and Grandson John Nummerdor. John is survived by his Wife Mary (Sturtevant) Dewitt; Daughter Janet James; Daughter-in-law Linda Dewitt; Step Children, Grand Children, many Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren. Cremation has taken place by Phoenix Crematory Services. No Services will be held per John's wishes.
