John William Dehorn

DEHORN, MR. JOHN WILLI AM Muskegon Mr. John William DeHorn, age 84, died Saturday, December 13, 2003 after a long illness. He was born in Muskegon, MI on February 9, 1919 to Marinus & Dena Vandekoppel DeHorn & married the former Audrey J. Bard on March 12, 1943 in Seattle, WA. Mr. DeHorn was a graduate of Wheaton College and the University of Michigan. He had served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII & Korean Conflict. Mr. DeHorn was a retired administrator for the Muskegon Public Schools. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Rotary. SURVIVORS Wife of 60 years, Audrey; children, assistant attorney general, Jon DeHorn of Detroit & Dr. Allan Cathy DeHorn of Troy MI; grandchildren, Sarah Cooper of Providence, RI, Stephen & David DeHorn of Troy, MI 1 sister, Mildred DeHorn of St. Joseph, MI; 2 brothers, Johannes Marilyn DeHorn of Grand Rapids; & Paul Barbara DeHorn of Norton Shores. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Cooper in 1992 & by a sister, Wilma Wolffis in 1998.
