John Decheney Sr.

Mr. John E. DeCheney Sr., age 72, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at home. He was born in Muskegon, MI on November 6, 1940 to Joseph & Lula (Guimond) DeCheney and married the former Jeritza "Dee" Akers. Mr. DeCheney had been employed as a mechanic at Monnette Chrysler for years until retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and tinkering. But foremost was always his family. SURVIVORS Wife, Dee; sons, Gerald (Linda) DeCheney of Grand Haven, Bradley (Sonya) DeCheney of Hesperia; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Norma Burke of Hesperia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, John Jr.; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. MEMORIAL SERVICE Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 12 Noon, at Christ the King Catholic Church of Hesperia with Rev. Peter C.
