John R. Church

Mr. John Roy Church, age 93, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019. He was born in Fremont, MI on November 15, 1925 to Murel & Mildred (Bunce) Church and married the former Geraldine Fox who passed away and then Grace Dahlstrom. Mr. Church had been employed at Shaw Walker in the Maintenance Dept. for over 20 years until retiring. John was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Eagles and the Port City Puddle Jumpers. He enjoyed wood carving, rebuilding cars and golfing. SURVIVORS Daughter, Susan Kellogg; grandchildren, Michael (Tressa) Kellogg, Lindy (Tom Ulrich) Kellogg, Amy (Allen) Hosford, Jeremy Church; step grandson, Benjamin (Alyssa) Reider; great grandchildren, Trevor Heistand Jr., Natalie Kellogg, Zoe Ulrich, Eva Ulrich; sister-in-law, Jane Church; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Geraldine in 1994 & Grace in 2019; son, James Church & 5 siblings. SERVICE Sunday, June 9, 2019, 1:30 PM at VFW White Lake Post #3256 in Montague.
