CASTLE, MR. JOHN L. Muskegon Mr. John L. Castle, Age 83, died Saturday, November 19, 2005. He was born in North Branch, MI. on November 10, 1922 to Floyd & Eunice Howey Castle & married his wife of 58 years, Joy Turner, October 10, 1942 in North Branch, MI. Mr. Castle had worked as an Engineer at GTE for 35 years prior to retiring in 1983. He was a lifetime member of Muskegon Masonic Lodge # 138 and also a life time member of the Masonic lodge #312 in North branch, MI. Mr. Castle was an active lifetime member of the Muskegon Optimist Club and served as President from 1979-1980. For 15 years he was on the MCC Mayfest Committee and had also served as chairman for 2 years. He also was a volunteer fireman and bus driver for many years in North Branch, MI. John enjoyed fishing, reading, and crossword puzzles. SURVIVORS 1 son, Michael Castle of Muskegon; 3 daughters, Bonnie Alan Cooper of Muskegon, Patty Kenneth Huston of Muskegon & Lesa Lonnie Gonzalez Castle of Hesperia, MI; 7 grandchildren, Blair Cooper, Paul Denise Cooper, Ken Tracy Huston II, Tina Larry Grennan, Jeff Castle, Brad & Brian King; 13 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Thelma Crawford of North Branch MI; several nieces & nephews; Mr. Castle was preceded in death by his wife Joy, 1 daughter, Jill Ann Castle and by his 1 brother, Wells. SERVICE Wednesday, November 23, 2005, 1pm at Clock Chapel with Rev. Edward Wilder officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 at Clock Funeral Home.
