John Born

BORN, MR. JOHN WINSLOW Grand Rapids Mr. John W. Born, age 87, died Wednesday, August 10, 2005. He was born in Allegan, MI on June 28, 1918 to Lawrence & Aseneth Feek Born and married the former Eloise Young on August 16, 1947 in Muskegon. Mr. Born had served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed as a Machinist at Shaw Walker for 38 years, until retiring in 1973 and was a member of St. Gregory's Episcopal Church in Muskegon & it's Brotherhood of St. Andrews. He was a life member of the Muskegon Elks & a member of VFW Post #3195. Mr. Born loved to cook & bake, and was involved in church activities & volunteering. SURVIVORS Wife of 57 years, Eloise; son, William Debra Born of Caledonia; 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey Katie Born, Sarah Brian Hammer, Matthew Born; sister, Eleanor Grabarek of Vancouver, WA. SERVICE Saturday, August 13, 2005, 10:00 AM at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church with Fr. Ted Siratko officiating. Interment at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 2-4 & 6:30-8:30 PM at Clock Funeral Home with an Elks Lodge of Sorrow Service at 8:30 PM. MEMORIAL: Hospice of Holland Home or Holy Cross Episcopal Church. Clock - Muskegon
