Joey J. Mangione

Mr. Joey J. Mangione, age 47, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 at his residence. He was born March 14, 1961 in Muskegon and lived most of his life in Grand Rapids returning to Muskegon in 1992. He married the former Darcy Sorensen in Grand Rapids on March 12, 1993. Mr. Mangione was employed at Sara Lee Bakery in Grand Rapids until becoming ill. Joey loved to hunt, fish and go camping. He is survived by: his wife, Darcy; 4 children, Joseph C. Mangione, Kathryn M. Mangione, Nicholas Guedry and Sean Guedry all of Grand Rapids; his father, John Mangione of Fort Meyers, FL; his mother, Nancy LeHigh of Grand Rapids; 3 brothers, Scotty (Debra) Ryerson, Jammie (Trina) Ryerson and Robbie Ryerson all of Grand Rapids; 1 granddaughter, Ligia Mangione; special friend of the family, Trisha Bentz; also many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Cindy Mangione on July 7, 2008. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 Fr. Norman Droski officiating.
