Joanne Aurich

Mrs. JoAnne Aurich, age 80, died Saturday, May 28, 2011. She was born in Ionia, MI on April 25, 1931 to Fred & Irma (Rollenhagen) Whalen and resided most of her life in Muskegon. She married Donald Aurich on December 3, 1949. Together they raised 3 children and owned Giles Jiff-ette Market from 1970-1977. She enjoyed fishing, art & crafts, sewing and animals. She will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Daughters, Deborah (Stephen) Glassner of Big Blue Lake, Rose (Andy) Casperson of Norton Shores; son, Ronald Aurich of WA; grandchildren, Kurt (Melissa) Glassner, Melissa Bradley; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Whalen of Ravenna; several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents; half brother, Fred Whalen; grandson, Jon Glassner. MEMORIAL SERVICE Friday, June 3, 2011, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Lyle Stone officiating. VISITATION Thursday, 6-8 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon.
