Joan Theresa McCloy, 90, of Muskegon passed away on January 2, 2024. She was the daughter of a coal miner, born in Winder Gulf, West Virginia. Her parents were the late Richard and Theresa Szalay. She married her High School sweetheart in 1952, David Richard "Dick" McCloy, and spent her life taking care of her husband and two children. "Joan" is survived by her son; Billy(Kathy) McCloy of Spring Hill,TN, daughter; Patricia(McCloy) Hufnagel of The Villages, FL, grandchildren; Mark (Erica) Hufnagel of Cape Coral, FL, Timothy (Cassie) Hufnagel of Muskegon, MI, Jimmy (Emily) McCloy of Spring Hill, TN, and Theresa (Pete) Griffin of Spring Hill, TN, one brother Robert "Bob" Szalay of Indianapolis, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. The family would like to express gratitude to Christian Care Assisted Living Staff for the love and care shown to there loved one.
