Joan Ann Gangwer

GANGWER, MRS. JOAN ANN Muskegon Mrs. Joan A. Gangwer, age 74, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, August 4, 2005. She was born in Kaleva, Michigan on August 28, 1930 to Howard & Ellen Alanko Robinson. She married James Dale Gangwer on January 7, 1950 and they celebrated 55 years together this year. Mrs. Gangwer had been employed as a Secretary in Muskegon & Ft. Wayne, IN for almost 40 years. She was a graduate of Muskegon High School, Baker College and received her bachelors degree from St. Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, IN. Mrs. Gangwer was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church where she worked as the Church Secretary for many years. She loved her family and her church. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling and comforting all those in need. SURVIVORS Husband, James; 1 daughter, Ellen Richard Conard of Port Huron, MI; 2 grandchildren, Shannon Ian Burt of Reston, VA, & Nicholas Conard of Port Huron, MI; 1 sister, Patricia Walter Bloomquist of Wyoming, MI;1 aunt, 2 nieces, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister. SERVICE Monday, August 8, 2005, 1:00 PM at Samuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Lewis Glick officiating.
