FORESTER, MRS. JOAN EDITH Spring Lake Mrs. Joan E. Forester, age 81, died Saturday, September 17, 2005 at her home. She was born in Chicago, Il on September 30, 1923 to P. O.E. & Johanna Mueller Johnson. She took pride in her Scandinavian and French Huguenot ancestry. She grew up in Highland Park, Illinois, graduated from Northwestern University & began her married life to John Forester on April 7, 1946. Joan was an active and outspoken participant in political, civic and charitable affairs her entire adult life, advocating for clean air, and water, the preservation of sand dunes and open space, and the integrity of Lake Michigan. She opposed blood for oil on conscientious grounds. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. SURVIVORS Husband, John; 1 son, David Forester of Middleville, MI; 2 daughters, Marjorie Vaughn Morrison of Lowell, MI & Margaret Tom Bull of WI; 5 grandchildren; 1 brother, Peter Johnson of Las Vegas; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie M. Johnson in 2003. MEMORIAL SERVICE Friday, September 30, 2005, 2:00 PM at St. John's Episcopal Church Memorial Garden with Fr.
