Jimmy Rogers

Mr. Jimmy N. Rogers, age 82, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013. He was born in Amagon, AR on February 20, 1931 to John & Leanna (Honey) Rogers and married the former Caroline Merritt on January 26, 1957. Mr. Rogers had been employed as a laborer at Grand Haven Brass for 37 years until retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Grand Haven Eagles, avid hunter and enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and camping. SURVIVORS Wife of 56 years, Caroline "Snooks"; daughters, Leanna (David) Haven of Spring Lake, Jamie Bol of Spring Lake; son, Ronald Rogers of Fruitport; grandchildren, Drew Mead and Larry (Samantha) Bol; sisters, Kathryn Ballard of AR, Frances (Raymond) Wagner of Grand Haven; brother-in-law, Malcomb Garland of Grand Haven; foster grandsons, Adam, Matt, Justin; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son, James Glenn; great grandson, Clayton; brothers, T.W. Woodlow and John Hugh; sister, Dorothy Green. SERVICE Friday, May 17, 2013, 12:00 noon at the Clock Chapel - Fruitport with Leanna Haven officiating. Interment at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 5-8 PM at Clock Funeral Home - Fruitport.
