JIMMY MICHAEL DAVIS (60) OF Ravenna Michigan passed peacefully in his home on December 28th, surrounded by family after a long, and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Jimmy was born July 26th, 1955 to the late Oliver and Vival (Hank) Davis. He graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1974, and proudly served in the United States Army. During his tour, he was stationed in Germany where he was in charge of guarding the missiles on base. Once home, Jimmy took a job with Fisher body, later retiring from General Motors after a successful career. On March 11th, 1977, Jimmy married Karen (Sievers) Davis, who was by his side for 38 years. Above all Jimmy loved his family, especially his 6 grandchildren who brought him tremendous joy. Jimmy also enjoyed having family around during the many times per year he and Karen opened their hearts and home to their many friends and family. Jimmy loved being in the outdoors and hunting, he especially loved hunting birds and rabbits. The family would like to thank the steady stream of friends and family who flocked to his home in these final weeks, to pay their respects, and provide support to his loving family. It is with these simple acts of kindness that his family has found great comfort in knowing that Jimmy was loved by many, and will be missed by all. Left to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Karen; 3 loving daughters, Julie (Allen) Cook, Brandy (Leo) Longcore and Tracy (Tony) Jackson; six treasured grandchildren, Emily, Marissa, Allen Michael, Nike, Corey, Caleb; sister, Jackie (Clay) Koop. Jimmy is also survived by a host of friends and family who will miss him dearly. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Vival Davis; brother, Ron Davis. Jimmy was a simple man, and at his request, there will not be a funeral. Instead, Jimmys family requests the honor of your presence at a celebration of life planned this spring. Please continue to watch for updates as these details are finalized. The family also requests that favorite pictures and stories accompany you as they remember the life of this great man.
