Jimmie Lee Johnson, 82, of Muskegon, Michigan passed away peacefully at home with his family on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Jimmie was born on October 6, 1941, in Columbus, Mississippi. Jimmie was the oldest son of James and Ada Johnson. He married the love of his life Ollie Dean Wells on August 7, 1967 in Chicago, IL. Together they were blessed with two children and 57 years of marriage. Jimmie was a truck driver for over 30 years and drove over 3 millions miles. During his career he was an active union member of the Teamsters Local 406 serving as steward. Jimmie enjoyed watching sports, talking with his friends and family, and sharing the gospel of Jesus with anyone he could. He was smart, helpful, strong, resilient, considerate, reliable. He was a very hard-working and passionate man who will be deeply missed.

Spouse, Ollie; children, Latesha Johnson, and Jerome (Keely Dyer) Johnson; grandchildren, Jayden, Olivia, Corey, Jaymie, Kaleb, Christian, Joseph, Ezekiel, and Charlee; brothers, Willie (Gloria) Minor, Troy (Dorothy) Johnson; sisters, Velma Murphy, Francis Johnson, and Irene Johnson-Green; special niece, Ada Nikko aka "Pooh"; and a host other nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, James "Bud" Johnson; and sisters, Mary Lou Bell, Marjean Berry, and Dorothy Lester.

SERVICES

A Celebration of the life Jimmie lived will be held at 12:00PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Clock Funeral Home 1469 Peck Street Muskegon 49441. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the start of the service.
