Jerry Wheeler

Mr. Jerry M. Wheeler, age 68, passed away January 18, 2009. He was born in Muskegon, MI to Ferman M. & Jennie L. Wheeler on April 5, 1940. His parents are both deceased. On May 18, 1996 he married Judy K. Hegedus and she survives him. He had been employed as a factory worker for Sappi Fine Paper for 38-1/2 years before retiring on May 1, 2002. Jerry enjoyed his job, especially his involvement in Union Leadership. He enjoyed playing softball and perch fishing. He married the mother of his children, Janet Wheeler. They were divorced several years ago and have remained friendly. SURVIVORS Sons, David Wheeler of Muskegon, Kevin (Meg) Wheeler of Lake Odessa; daughters, Carrie (Shawn) Daugherty of Grand Rapids, Sarah (Chad) Philo of Hudsonville; stepsons, John (Deb) Hegedus of Englewood FL, Jeff (Jodie) Hegedus of Twin Lake; grandchildren, Christian, Cameron, Brendan, Alexandra, Isabella, Abigail, Nicole, Jacob, Ashley, Tim, Tiffany, Heather & Melanie. He is also survived by his special best friend, Paul Howard and 2 brothers; Paul Wheeler & Bruce (Barbara) Wheeler. SERVICE Friday, January 23, 2009, 1:00 PM at Clock Chapel with Mark Vandenbosch officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Thursday, 6-9 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Harbor Hospice.
