Jerry W. Turner

Mr. Jerry W. Turner, age 61, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Muskegon. He was born December 22, 1946 in Oakland, CA to Clyde and Nellie (Hughes) Turner, whom preceded him in death along with his siblings, Leona, Dale, and Rose; and by his first wife, the former Janie McDaniel. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church. He leaves behind his wife, Linda Thompson-Turner; step-son, Brian (Lisa) Wilcoxson; father-in-law, Robert S. Thompson, Sr.; siblings, Don and Jo Turner, Ray and Jeanie Turner, Jack and Shirley Turner, and Bev Benedict; brothers-in-law, Dan Thompson, Bob and Joann Thompson, and Tom and Kathy Thompson; sister-in-law, Alice Ann (Thompson) and Charley Miller; many nieces and nephews; and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Mark, Brandon, Jordan, and Alicia (Grandpa's Princess). Jerry will be missed by all who knew him. "Out of pain and into the arms of God, is there any other place to be?" SERVICES will be 11 AM Tuesday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Rev. Jerry Hagans officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday. Burial will take place in Fruitport Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Hackley VNS Hospice will be appreciated.
