Jerri Snyder

Jerri Jo Snyder, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, with her family by

her side. She was born on February 3, 1950, in Grand Haven, MI to Rudy and Gladys

VanderZwaag.

Jerri will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Rick; her children:

son, Todd Deal, and two daughters; Nicole (Darren) Vilminot; and Charity (Craig)

Hutchins; four grandchildren: Joe, Anna, Macy and Claire; siblings: Joanne Lundmark,

Wayne (Loretta) VanderZwaag, Judy Keyes, Richard (Suzanne) VanderZwaag; sister-in-

law Linda Veihl (Larry Stranad), and brother-in-law Jim (Mary) Snyder, many nieces and

nephews and loving lifelong friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in law Roy

and Anne Snyder, sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Larry Deal, brother-in-law, Ken

Veihl; sister-in-law Robbin VanderZwaag; and brother-in-law Paul Lundmark.

Jerri was happily married to Rick for over 45 years. They had a small farm in Nunica, MI

where she loved to garden. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome at her home,

whether it was through her chattiness or cooking. She enjoyed visiting with friends

around the picnic table or having an impromptu fish fry at the house with anyone who

happened to stop by. In early years at the farm, she had a huge garden and canned all the

veggies she grew, homemade jams, applesauce, and made hot cocoa mix to share.

Jerri worked in production inventory control at Stanco Metal Products until she retired in

2012. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing with Rick, camping,

cooking new recipes, reading, gardening and visiting Florida as a snowbird.

A memorial celebration for Jerri will be held at a future date.
