Jerome Neal

Mr. Jerome C. "Jerry, Sip" Neal, age 60, died Wednesday evening, August 29, 2007. He was born August 18, 1947 in Columbus, Mississippi to Will Ed and Lucille Neal and had resided in the Muskegon area most of his life. Mr. Neal was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and worked several years at Hackley Hospital as a mental health worker. He was a life-long golfer, loved jazz, was a loving father and great granddad. On May 6, 1984 he married the former Patricia Lewis in Muskegon and she survives him along with 5 children, Oette McCall of Grand Rapids, Carlice Lewis of Killeen, TX, LaTanya Murdaugh of Grand Rapids, Murani Lewis, Gabrielle Lewis both of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Willie (Sheryl) Neal, Jr. of Flower Mound, TX, Lawrence (Eydie) Neal of Colorado Springs, CO; 2 sisters, Patricia (Eddie) Oliver of East St. Louis, IL, Deborah (Thomas) Reeths of Manistee, MI; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Darrell Dawson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gwen Walton. There will be no services.
