My Story

My name is JeNarri "Narri" Hathorn. I was born July 17, 1993, in Muskegon, MI.

Growing up I was surrounded by love. When I was with my mother Jeanette Hathorn, I

was the only boy. I had my 3 sisters, Alecia (Denton) Carter, Jameika Moore, and

Deziraye Wilson but when I was with my dad Jesse and my bonus mother Yehudith

Anderson I was in the majority. I had my 3 brothers, Jesse Jr, Orlando, and Brandon as well as my sister Jasmine Anderson. There was never a dull moment. I thought I was the backflip king! It really didn't matter what we were doing as long as we were doing it

together. While attending Muskegon High School I enjoyed playing football. When I

caught the ball, I started running then would throw my head up in the air, and I knew

nobody could catch me now. I made a touchdown. I also enjoyed lifting weights and was

a powerlifter. I graduated with the Class of 2011. Everyone who knew me knew I was

laid back, friendly, respectful, and always willing to help in any way I could. I loved some

sweets; I loved the color blue but most of all I loved my family. My beautiful fiancé

Priscilla Perales the love of my life and I were planning to be married. I knew together

we would make a great life for our children, Jarita Sharp, Rosa and Isaiah Perez, Annica

and JeNarri Hathorn Jr. I love you all so much, being your father was one of my greatest

joys! I had a few jobs but the one job that meant the most to me was driving for Port City Cab. I was blessed to drive the same cab (#59) that my grandfather Edgar Chapman drove and that was really special to me.

On January 9, 2024, I made my last touchdown. I didn't know it would come so soon but what I do know is that you don't have to cry for me because I made it to heaven and now, I can do backflips in my new home. I know I will continue to live in the hearts and memories of my parents, fiancé, children and my grandmother Loudriris Anderson Williams; aunts, Carrie Hathorn, Suberia Anderson, Rhonda Sneed, Arneda Sneed and Mira Perkin; uncles, Ahmed Chapman, Jesus (Bobbi) Chapman, William (Christina) Anderson, Thomas Anderson, Lloyd (Trace) Anderson, Leonard (Catrina) Anderson, Carey (Beth) Coleman, Clyde (Trane) Sneed and Arthur (Ardena) Duren; great aunt; Pauline (Aunt Polly) Andrews; special nephew, Amonte Moore; special cousins, Curtis Mathis, Ebonnie Billings, Greg Chapman and Eric Hathorn. As well as my god brothers and sisters Zackiery Wilson, Kevin Berg, Adrian G Hernandez, Alexia Freeman and Jordan Carruthers, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family. Don't cry for me, for I am now resting with my grandparents, Edgar and Dorothy Chapman, William Sami Anderson, Eddie Frank Williams and Jessie Roberts and Uncle Dwight Anderson. I'll see you all again.
