Jeffrey Allen Wilson, age 70, passed away on June 29, 2024, surrounded by his family.
He was born May 6, 1954, to Betty Ruth Suchan and Ernest Wilson, raised by Betty and Kenneth Giddings. He was the eldest of seven children. Upon his mother's passing in 1992, his youngest sister, Nadine, and her husband, Tony, became his lifelong caregivers.
Full of adventure, Jeffie charmed everyone he encountered as he made his routine rounds through the neighborhood. He was always waiting for unsuspecting friends and family to leave behind tools and knickknacks that he could sneak back to his house to add to his collection. He enjoyed family car rides looking for deer and grabbing a pop. He had a love for loud and fast race cars. He also enjoyed tinkering with things, taking them apart to the point where you could not figure out how to put things back together - and neither did he!
Jeffie was beloved by all around him, and he returned the love two-fold. He cherished every gift given to him, from oversized shirts from his brothers to handmade hats and blankets from his nieces. He was treated with his annual birthday and Christmas fudge from Sonny Rollison and Marilyn Eklund Rollison. Jeff enjoyed motorcycle and quad rides with neighbors and second family John, Michelle, and kids. Jeff was also loved by Hershel and Audrey Lawrence and their extended family. They took all of us in as their kids and we were lucky to have that time with them.
We would like to say a special thank you to Kelly Gerard for being by our sides and always being there for Kim and Jeff and for being Nadine and Tony's support system. We would also like to thank Kelly Carroll-Garcia for taking care of Jeff and for the handling of him after he passed. We love you and cannot thank you enough for everything you have done.
Jeffie was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tina Marie Wilson. He is survived by his siblings Gregory Wayne Wilson, Matthew Leroy Giddings (Evelie), Deanna Giddings, Kimberly Faye Giddings, Nadine Giddings-Ritchie (Tony), as well as his many beloved nieces and nephews.
A gathering for family and friends will be held at his sisters, Nadine and Tony's home, 787 Chandler Street, Muskegon on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 at 2 PM.
