Jeffrey Lee Chase, was born on June 1, 1950 in Grand Rapids to the late Arnold and Ella Jane Chase, and passed away on April 5, 2008. He married the former Judy Lawrence the love of his life on August 12, 1972. He was employed with Little Debbie Snack Cakes for 20 years. Jeff attended Mona Shores High School where he was a standout football player and an All State Honorable Mention. Jeff had a zest for life. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on his boat at Lake Leelanau with Judy. He played golf, bowled "the mink", hunted and played softball for Sportsman's Bar. Jeff was the organizer and cook for the annual Lions tailgate parties. He had many friends that he loved and was best friend of many. Jeff always put his family first, he taught his sons his favorite hobbies. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather and godfather. Jeff is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy; sons, Corey (Dana) of Muskegon, Sam (and his fianc'e Natasha) of Battlement Mesa, Colorado; two granddaughters who brought him such joy, Oakleigh & Olivia; two brothers, Arnold Chase Jr. and Scott (Sally) Chase, and a sister, Valerie (Joe) Ruud. According to his wishes cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
