Jeannette Ella Sickman

SICKMAN, MRS. JEANNETTE E. Grand Haven, MI Jeannette E. Sickman, age 92, of Grand Haven, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003 at North Ottawa Care Center. She was born September 4, 1911 to Jacob and Nellie Stahl Laning in Ferrysburg, MI and married Henry Sickman on Oct. 29, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1991. As a former Grand Haven school district employee, Mrs. Sickman worked in food and custodial services. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church and the Dorcus Society. She also was a volunteer for International Aid. Survivors: Son, Tom Helen Sickman of New Jersy; 3 daughters, Phyllis Dave Dayton of New York, Betty Anderson of Spring Lake, MI, Bonnie Wayne Squire of Nunica, MI; 9 grandchildren, Josh Lara Urano, Kimberly Page, Keena Ron Steinke, Laura Milt Chittenden, Nathan Carrie Anderson, David Mary Dayton, Roger Beth Dayton, Jeff Darlene Dayton, Debbie Chris Klynstra; 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Vriesman of Grand Haven, MI and Irene Selby of Muskegon, MI; brother William Jean Laning; sister in law, Henrietta Laning of Grand Haven, MI; several nieces and nephews. Mrs Sickman was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Riemersema; 3 brothers, Clarence, Edward and George Laning; sister in law, Harriett Laning. Service: Thursday, December 4, 2003, 1:00 pm at First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Rich Hamstra officiating. Interment at Lakeshore Cemetery. Visitation: Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Clock Funeral Home. Memorial: Grand Haven Christian School or International Aid. Clock-Grand Haven
