Jean Noble Stone

Mrs. Jean Noble Stone, age 94, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019. She was born in New Britain, CT on June 14, 1924 to Colton & Florence (Corbin) Noble and married John Stone. Mrs. Stone had been employed as a Teletype Operator for Western Union. Jean was a member of First Church of Christ Congregational in New Britain and volunteered at the New Britain General Hospital. She loved Harness Racing and owned several horses over the years. Going to county fairs was exciting for her and she enjoyed spending her time playing Bingo and needle pointing. SURVIVORS Son, John Stone; grandchildren, Kathryn Stone, Daniel Matthysse, Nathan Matthysse; great grandchildren, Marshall, Lacy, Kelsey, Brianna & Leah. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1996; sister, Ruth and brothers, George & Howard. SERVICE A Celebration of Jean's Life will be held at a later date.
