Mrs. Jean Snider, age 79, passed away Friday morning, March 9, 2007. She was born December 9, 1927 in Muskegon to Dirk and Agnes (Steensma) Buit and had lived in the area all of her life. Mrs. Snider was a bus driver for Mona Shores Schools for 31 years. She was a charter member of Westwood Reformed Church and was a member of the Lady's Tuesday Morning Bible Study and on the Church Life and Growth Committee. She loved shopping with her sisters, traveling and camping with her family, and doing crafts. On May 28, 1947, she married Howard Snider in Muskegon and he survives her along with their 3 children, Thomas (Norma) Snider of Muskegon, Susan VanderMolen of Texas, and Cindy (Richard) Brown of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren, Tammie DeBusk, Thomas (Jill) Snider, Jr., Louie Joe and Tim VanderMolen, Laurie (Matt) LaNore, and Sarah and Ricky Brown; 5 great-grand-children; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 12, 2007 at Westwood Reformed Church, 3025 Glenside Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441 with Rev. David Willerup officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 and one hour prior to the service at church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be given in honor of Jean to the American Cancer Society and Westwood Reformed Church. INTERMENT will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
