Jean E. Gleason

Jean E. Gleason GLEASON, MRS. JEAN E. Widow of Bryce Muskegon Mrs. Jean E. Gleason, age 85, died Tuesday afternoon, January 24, 2006. She was born September 28, 1920 in Oceana County, MI to Robert E. and Elsie (Gleason) Clemens and had been a resident of Muskegon since 1944. During WWII, she served in the Women's Army Air Corp. Mrs. Gleason worked for the Department of Social Services for 17 years. She also taught school and worked for Lumberman's Bank for 11 1/2 years. She was a member of the SERA Group (State Employees Retirement Association) and also volunteered for Love, Inc. Mrs. Gleason was a former member of Hope Reformed Church and is currently a member of First Baptist Church. On August 4, 1945, she married Bryce H. Gleason in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on August 29, 1957. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, Craig (Sara Lee) Gleason of Shalimar, FL, Eric Gleason of Oak Forest, IL; 4 grandchildren, Craig, Jr., Scott, Kyle, Cory; sister, Irene Hunt of Fremont; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Brian T. Gleason and a daughter-in-law, Julie Gleason. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Saturday at First Baptist Church with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
