Jean Bethel Chester

Chester, Mrs. Jean Bethel Muskegon, Michigan Jean Bethel Chester, age 93, died Friday, August 26, 2022. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on July 27, 1929 to parents, Hero & Minnie (Bishop) Wieten and lived her entire life in Muskegon. Jean graduated from St Mary's School in 1947 and married Arthur L Chester in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Muskegon on January 22, 1948. Her life was richly blessed with many loving memories like raising her family and their vacations camping with family and friends. Mrs. Chester had a hobby of porcelain china painting and enjoyed her golf and bowling league. She had a long friendship with her classmates meeting bi-monthly for lunch. Her favorite pastime was cribbage and card games with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. SURVIVORS Sons, Dennis (Kat) Chester, Thomas (Lorri) Chester, Andrew (LeAnne) Chester; daughter, Jane (Larry) Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; daughter-in-law, Hazel Deater; in-laws Mona Scouten, Maudie Chester, David Watkins; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Aurthur, of 61 years; her son, James Chester; grandson, Daniel; brother, Robert (MaryAnn) Wieten; sister, Joyce (Floyd) Deater; In Laws, Louis, Albert, Marie, Ruth, Robert, and Margie. SERVICE Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:00 am at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon. Interment in Fruitland Township Cemetery. VISITATION - One hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
