Jayne Marie Balgooyen

BALGOOYEN, MRS. JAYNE MARIE Muskegon Mrs. Jayne Balgooyen, age 74, died Sunday, August 8, 2004, at home with her family. She was born November 30, 1929 in Muskegon, Michigan to John & Valborg Thuesen Peterson. On July 25, 1952 she married William Balgooyen. Mrs. Balgooyen had been employed as a Secretary/ Human Resouces Manager at Clark's Sanding & Michigan Spring Company until retiring in 1991. Jayne enjoyed going to Naples, FL with her husband Bill during the winter. She also volunteered at Hackley Hospital. When Jayne was young she taught dance classes, and her love for dance and having fun with her closest friends, Perky Lee and Shirley Wickland continued throughout her life. She also loved shopping always excited about the sales and loved football, as she was an avid University of Michigan fan. Jayne also had a talent for interior decorating and designed the window displays at Barbara's Boutique in Naples. But the most important thing in Jayne's life was her husband, children and grandchildren. Jayne's sparkling eyes, smile, and personality radiated at all times. Anyone who was blessed to spend time with Jayne will say she was a remarkable person and a courageous fighter. SURVIVORS Jayne is survived by her husband, William; 3 sons, Jeffrey Joni of Grand Rapids, James Carol of Plymouth, MI & Jay Julie of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Lois Hickman of Montague; 1 brother-in-law, Fredric Marti Balgooyen of Muskegon; 1 sister-in-law, Sue Mitchell of Newport Beach, CA & many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents & by a granddaughter, Julie Balgooyen. SERVICE Thursday, August 12, 2004, 1:00 PM at Clock Chapel with Pastor Glen Maiden officiating.
