Janice Sue Kish, age 85, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away on September 30, 2026, at Riverside Nursing Home in Grand Haven. Born on August 5, 1941, in Centralia, Illinois, Janice was the daughter of Vernon and Marjorie (Wells) Holtzauer.
A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, her life was dedicated to her large and loving family. Janice was a thoughtful and thorough person who took great care to ensure her final affairs were in order, a final gift of peace to her family.
Janice devoted her career to caring for others through hospital service. She worked for nearly two decades in central sterile processing at a Muskegon General Hospital, and later for more than ten years at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Earlier in her career, she also served as a nurse's aide. Her dedication remained steadfast even after a serious back injury.
A lover of travel and adventure, Janice found joy in visiting Hawaii, exploring Florida, taking in the shows of Las Vegas, and traveling across the United States. She made her home in Clearwater, Florida, for over twenty years before returning to Michigan to be near her family.
Janice is survived by her children, Sharon (Phil) Krehn of Muskegon, Phillip (Sherrie) Farmer, Vernon (Penny) Farmer, Michael (Kim) Farmer; her siblings, Gene (Mary) Holzhauer, Sonny (Penny) Holzhauer, Tim (Sherry) Holzhauer, Diane Scheidt, and Deb (Kent) Senzig.; Grandchildren, Cory (Colleen) Farmer, Chris (Lynette) Farmer, Brett (Katherine) Farmer, Darcy Farmer, Matthew Farmer; great-grandchildren, Ashley Krehn, Charlie Smith, Serenity Smith and several more.
