Janet Dudgeon, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 15, 1932 to Gordon & Helen (McCurdy) Wilson. She graduated from Muskegon High School in 1950 and then went on to Muskegon Business College. Janet had been employed at Westran Corp. as a purchasing agent for many years. She also operated an estate sale and antique store called "Station Antiques" in Lakeside with her two dear friends May Vegter and Kate Chilcote. Janet was an amazing cook, she loved to read, do crosswords and word puzzles, decorate and shop with exquisite taste, and was a collector of all sorts, including turtles, Budas, Polish pottery and items with an Asian flair. She and her husband Lee Dudgeon were former members at the Holton VFW and they traveled the world together. Her favorite places included Europe, Hawaii and the western USA. She was quick to laugh, raised her children well, and will be missed by her family.

SURVIVORS

Children Raymond (Audrey) Staniszewski, Susan (Leon) Bedwell, Marie Chabotte, Dorothy Hansen and favorite step-daughter Karla Dudgeon Wols. Grandchildren J.R. Bedwell, Toby (Danielle) Fredericksen, Abbey (Jimmy) Harwood, Erin (Alex) Khafaji, Kristin (Kendrick) Johnson, Molly (Adam Campbell) Spoelman, Emily Staniszewski. Great-grandchildren Payton, Ontario, Taja, Lincoln, Sam, Keira, Ryland, Eleanor. Several nieces and nephews who were very dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee and her siblings Mac F. Wilson and Barbara Lee Linn.

SERVICE

Janet did not want a memorial service, her family and friends will celebrate her life privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Harbor Hospice Foundation, Smithsonian Institution or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
