BARNEY, MRS. JANET M. Muskegon, MI Mrs. Janet M. Barney, age 63, died Saturday, April 12, 2003. She was born in Muskegon, MI on September 9, 1939 to Colbert & Catherine Spytma Hamstra & married Eugene Barney on June 28, 1958 in Muskegon, MI. A 1957 graduate of Muskegon Heights High School, Mrs. Barney had been employed as a Records Clerk for the 60th District Court for 30 years until retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church & the Fruitport Eagles. An avid bowler, she also volunteered during the winter months in Florida schools, mentored at Gustafson School & served as an office volunteer for Orchard View Schools. SURVIVORS Husband, Eugene; her mother, Catherine Hamstra of Muskegon, MI; her children & their families: son, Randy Lori Barney of Fayetteville, GA & Krystal Drew, Kimmie & Randi-Lynn; 3 daughters, Brenda Larry Wood of Muskegon, MI & Larry Audra, Christina Jeanne Ken Parker of Muskegon, MI & Kenneth, Derrick & Dakoda; Debra Tobias Fekken of Muskegon, MI & Kaitlyn Janet & Jaycob; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Donna Puisis of Muskegon, MI. She was preceded in death by her father, Colbert Hamstra in March of 1965. FUNERAL MASS Wednesday, April 16, 2003, 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Baur officiating. Interment at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION Monday, 7-9 PM and Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
