James H. Spoelman

SPOELMAN, MR. JAMES H. Muskegon Mr. James H. Spoelman, age 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, November 11, 2006. He was born on November 2, 1930 in Muskegon to Henry and Jennie (Scott) Spoelman, served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict spending time in Alaska and married Jane VanEck on August 19, 1955 in Muskegon. The Founder and Owner-Operator of Spoelman Auto Inc. since 1971, he retired in 1996. Mr. Spoelman was a member of Unity Reformed Church of Muskegon and he enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, reading and travel. By far his chief enjoyment was his family. SURVIVORS Wife, Jane; Mother, Jennie Spoelman; 2 sons, Richard (Regena) Spoelman, Michael Spoelman; 1 daughter, Jayne (Randal) Wolffis; 5 grandchildren, Becky and Ryan Spoelman, Allison, Joey, and Kelsey Wolffis; 5 sisters, Mary Ann (Rich) DeJonge, Ruth (Ken) Morey, Esther (Larry) Blackmer, Sarah (John) Olman, Beth (Paul) Borgman; 2 brothers, Paul (Marlene) Spoelman, David (Coralee) Spoelman; 2 sisters-in-law, Nell VanDyke and Hennie (Bob) Doctor; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry "Bill" Spoelman, a brother Calvin and a grandson, Richard. SERVICE Thursday, November 16, 2006, 1:00 P.M. at Clock Chapel with Pastor Kyle DeYoung officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Tuesday, November 14, 2006 7-9 P.M. and Wednesday, November 15, 2006, 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at Clock Life Story Funeral Home.
