James Snell

Mr. James Gerald Snell, age 86, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016. He was born in Flint, Michigan on September 23, 1929 to James & Ethel (Grissom) Snell and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Sue Giddings on January 8, 1994. Mr. Snell had been the owner of Snell Harley Davidson since 1961 until retiring in 2005 when he sold the business. James was a member of the American Legion, Muskegon Motorcycle Club and enjoyed hunting & fishing and hanging out on his boat. SURVIVORS Wife, Sue; sons, James "Gary" (Ann) Snell of FL, Steve Snell of Muskegon; daughter, Linda (Rick) Stenberg of Hesperia; stepson, David Barnes of Twin Lake; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; special grand-daughters, Paulette and Samantha - his "Partner in Crime"; brother, Davey "Jinx" (Deb) Snell of Kalamazoo; sister, Emma (Bill) Francis of AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Orin. SERVICE Private family services will be held.
