James Edward Rostar

James "Jim" Edward Rostar, age 85, of Norton Shores, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

He was born on May 27, 1941, in Muskegon, MI, to George and Anna (Toth) Rostar. Jim graduated from Catholic Central High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman, stationed in Hawaii. On May 25, 1985, he married the former Linda Lockhart. Jim worked as a machinist at Kaydon for 37 years, retiring in 2003. He was a former member of the Polish Falcons and the Lakeside Eagles. In his free time, Jim enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and golfing, especially in the leagues at Oakridge.

Jim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Rostar; children, Diane Rostar and Lyn Rostar; step-children, Lee (Lisa) Santos and Willie Santos; grandchildren, Braydyn Santos and Jersey Santos; brother, Ed Rostar of Twin Lake, MI; and sister, Sister Carmen Rostar of Grand Rapids, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Rostar; and siblings, Anna, George, Margaret, Irene, Rose, Mary Jean, and John.
