NICHOLSON, MR. JAMES MARTIN Muskegon Mr. James M. Nicholson, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home, December 10, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Muskegon, MI on October 15, 1931 to John & Bernice Jones Nicholson and married the former Dorothy Olsen on June 19, 1952. Jim was a decorated Veteran of the Korean War serving as a Corporal in the U.S. Army, Second Infantry Division, 23rd Regiment, King Company. He attended many of the reunions with his wife and kept in close contact with those who also fought for our country. Preceding Jim's retirement he worked for Steel Fabricating as Plant Superintendent 29 years and then continued to offer his expertise to other manufacturing firms that hired him. Jim was well known for his talents and abilities to work on and restore many vehicles including his beloved 1936 Ford Coupe. He was often found tinkering in his garage, building family members project, when he was not traveling the country with his dearly loved wife, Dorothy. Many memories were also made at deer hunting camp with his family as he was a life-long bow hunter. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that will forever remain in our heart. SURVIVORS Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Dorothy; his children, Marsha David Grimard, Randy Cheryl Nicholson, and Christopher Sheila Nicholson; his grandchildren, Nathan Lisa Nicholson, Kari Jamie Thompson, Nicholas Stacey Nicholson, David Erica Grimard and Nora Lynn Nicholson; his great-grandchildren, Johanna Thompson and David Connor Grimard; his brother John Nicholson and his dogs Brutus & Precious. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Bernice Damaron. SERVICE Tuesday, December 13, 2005, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel with Rev, Eric Coulon officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION One hour prior to the service at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Make A Wish Foundation, Hospice of Muskegon/Oceana, Hackley Cancer Center.
