James David Mccamant

McCamant, Mr. James David Muskegon Mr. James David McCamant, age 81, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 23, 1938 to George & Eunice (Millard) McCamant. He married the former Kathleen Schmalz on July 2, 1960 & she preceded him in death in 2019. Mr. McCamant was a gradate of DePaul University and was the Director of Finance at Quality Stores for over 25 years until retiring in 1998. Jim was an avid reader, enjoyed golf and had been a member of the Muskegon Country Club. He coached little league baseball when his sons were young and always enjoyed going to his granchildren's sporting events. Jim was a big fan of Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Pete Rose and Frank Sinatra. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. SURVIVORS Sons, James (Brenda) McCamant of North Muskegon, Mark (Kari) McCamant of North Muskegon, Matthew (Vanessa) McCamant of Spring Lake; daughter, Susan ( Andy Corker) Kuharevicz of North Muskegon; sister, Margaret Kane of Chicago; 8 grandchildren, Lindsay, Kendall, Zac, Reese, Kaitlyn, Mackinzie, Eli 5 great grandchildren, Logan, Ava, Amaya, Thomas & William; Brother-in-law, John (Trudy) Schmalz . He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen in 2019; twin sister, Janice. SERVICE Due to covid 19, a private family service will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
