JOHNSON, SR., MR. JAMES LANDON Norton Shores, MI Mr. James Landon Johnson, Sr., age 62, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 10, 2003. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on April 21, 1941 to Lafayette & Stella Ray Johnson & married the former Judy Yockey in Reading, OH on November 23, 1962. A graduate of Furman University in SC, he served as student council president and president of Tau Kappa Epsilon. Jim moved to Norton Shores in 1969 to work for Teledyne Continental Motors, where he was Vice President of Personnel & Industrial Relations and retired from General Dynamics Corp. in 2002. Jim had a love of theater, having served as the first President of the Muskegon Civic Theater where he continued to be quite active. He served on the board of Blue Cross and Blue Shield and had been involved in Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts of America, United Way & the ''Dirty Dozen.'' Jim enjoyed woodworking and restoring and refinishing furniture. SURVIVORS Wife, Judy; 3 sons, James Sherri Johnson, Jr. & Jerald Lisa Johnson, both of Muskegon, MI & Jason Amberly Johnson of Royal Oak, MI; 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Erin, Mia, Mackenzie, Eliza & Karenna; his brother, Norman Tracey Johnson of Woodridge, IL; brother-in-law, James Yockey of FL; 2 sisters-in-law, Janette Steven Pymer of PA & Jill Danny Brown of OH. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edwina Ramsey. SERVICE Sunday, July 13, 2003, 2:00 PM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Mark Bush & Rev. Don Mathews officiating. VISITATION Saturday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: The James L. Johnson, Sr. Family Fund of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County. Clock - Muskegon
