James M. Hakes

Mr. James McKinley Hakes, age 70, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019. He was born in Mishawaka, IN on September 22, 1948 to Jack & Martha (Reihl) Hakes and served his country in the US Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. Mr. Hakes had been employed in Sales until retiring. James was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed fishing, drawings, golfing, hunting and classic cars. SURVIVORS Daughter, Suzanne McMullan; grandchildren, Eric (Brittany) Wente & Chase McMullan; great grandchildren, Margot & Jude Wente; siblings, Thomas (Christine) Hakes & Pamela (Douglas) Cengiz; aunt, Joann Stahl; nieces, nephews, cousins & friends; former wife, Kathy Hakes.
