James V. Griswold

David V. Griswold GRISWOLD, MR. DAVID V. Norton Shores Mr. David Vernon Griswold, age 80, passed away January 5, 2006 following a brief illness. Mr. Griswold was born October 21, 1925 to Albert and Rachel (Jones) Griswold in Muskegon and had lived in the area all his life. On August 20, 1949 he married Myrna Karsen in Muskegon. Mr. Griswold worked as a Heating & Cooling service technician, retiring in 1990 after thirty years in the business. David worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas for 15 years, also operated a resort on Silver Lake for 20 years along with several years spent on the Hart Police Force. Mr. Griswold was a member of the Viking's Linne Lodge #57 for over 50 years and was involved in a weekly golf league. David was also very involved throughout his lifetime in area sports teams, both as a player and as an official. He is SURVIVED by his beloved wife, Myrna; 1 son, Timothy Griswold; 3 grandchildren, Kerri (Isaias) Martinez, Christopher Griswold & Cameron Griswold; and 1 great-grandson, Emilio Martinez. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd William Griswold; 2 sisters, Helen and Frances Grace; and 1 brother, Albert "Al" Griswold. A MEMORIAL luncheon will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the Viking Linne Lodge #57, 3132 Lakeshore Drive.
