James Rodney Frost

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of James Rodney Frost, 55, of Muskegon, Michigan. He left us on December 17, 2025, at home, passing from natural causes, including acute illness, pneumonia, cardiac arrest, and possible sepsis. Born on June 26, 1970, to James and Frances Frost. He later graduated with his GED. He married Ann Kesteloot (Frost) on February 6, 1999.

James loved people, listening to music, watching TV, food, fishing, working, drawing, and Indian things. He worked for many years for Meijer as a friendly greeter.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann; son, Cherokee Dakota Frost; siblings, Toney (Sandie) Buttleman of Hartselle, AL; Kelly Guiher of Muskegon, MI; and Patrick Guiher of Flint, MI.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Francis M Frost; father, James Frost Sr; brother, Douglas Guiher; stepson, Richard Allen Konopinski II; and his foster parents, whom he thought of as "Mom & Dad," Charles and Joyce Carr.

A Memorial Service will be held at Folkert Community Hub (No More Sidelines) located at 640 Seminole Rd, Norton Shores, MI 49441. Join us on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 1 PM to 4 PM as we gather to celebrate his life and share our favorite stories and memories. We encourage everyone to wear something red in his honor, as it was his favorite color.

Jim will always be remembered for his vibrant spirit, warmth, and endless kindness. He may have left this world, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
