James W. Bennetti

BENNETTI, MR. JAMES W. West Olive Mr. James W. Bennetti, age 87, died Friday, September 30, 2005. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 26, 1918. Mr. Bennetti had been employed as a Machinist at Dake Corp of Grand Haven for 28 years until retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Grand Haven Eagles Aerie #925, the GBU District 707 of Grand Rapids, where he served as Vice President for 8 years. Mr. Bennetti sold tapes of Polka music and was called the "Polka Peddler". SURVIVORS 3 step-daughters, Mary Tom Stephens of Manton, MI, Betty Frank Diaz of Detroit, MI, Marge John Rogers of Grand Haven; 14 step-grandchildren, 20 step great grandchildren; step-brother, Mike Lazarak of Chicago, IL; good friend, Patricia Palen of Grand Haven; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn, who died in 1957, and also by his second wife, Helen Benzinger, who died in 1990.
