James Alan

James "Jim" Alan Davis, 75, of Muskegon, passed away peacefully Monday, August 5,

2024.

Jim was born January 20, 1949, the son of Leon and Joyce Davis. He married the

former Miriam "Mim" Knapp on Aug 23, 1969 and together they enjoyed nearly 55 years

of marriage together. Jim earned his Masters Degree in Social Work from Western

Michigan University and worked as a social worker his entire career. He was a long time

member of Olivet Evangelical Free Church. Jim had a passion for sports and loved his

Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs. He was an avid supporter of Muskegon Big

Reds football. He was a happy, loving, out-going, generous man with a sense of humor.

He will be deeply missed.

SURVIVORS

Wife, Mim; children, Shanna Tigchelaar and Jeremy (Nancy) Davis; grandchildren,

Cohan Tigchelaar, Merrick Tigchelaar, Jaden Davis, and Nathaniel Davis; sister,

Jennifer Storm; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Shirley Camburn; and brother, Paul

Davis.

SERVICES

A Celebration of Jim's life will take place on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at

Olivet Evangelical Free Church 6790 Harvey Rd, Spring Lake, MI. Visitation will take

place one hour prior to the start of the service, with a luncheon following.
