Jacqueline Renee Jenkins

Jacqueline Renee Jenkins departed this life on July 7, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on February 7, 1956, to Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt Jenkins Sr. She was the only daughter born to their union and was lovingly raised alongside her brothers, Emmitt Jr. and Cedric Earl. Jackie, as she was affectionately known, was a beautiful and extraordinary woman, both inside and out.

She possessed a generous heart and a compassionate spirit. Whenever someone in the community was grieving, hurting, or experiencing hardship, she often made sure they had food and knew that someone cared. Through these acts of kindness, she lovingly represented the Jenkins family. Family was deeply important to Jackie. She regularly called relatives to check on their well-being, offer encouragement, and help everyone remain connected. She believed that family should care for one another and stand together through every season of life.

Jackie proudly graduated with the Muskegon Heights Tigers Class of 1974 and enjoyed attending class reunions throughout the years. She later attended Muskegon Business College in pursuit of a business degree. She also loved music and shared her gift as one of the background singers for the Brooks Group during the early 1970s. Her beautiful smile, unforgettable laugh, and joyful presence could brighten any room.

She had a special love for children and was known for her warmth, tenderness, and encouraging words. Most importantly, Jackie was a born again God-fearing woman whose life reflected her love for the Lord. She continually encouraged others to remain faithful, trust God, and "stay with Jesus." Among her favorite sayings were, "Right is right, and wrong is wrong," "God is good," and "I love you in Jesus."

Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt Jenkins Sr., and her baby brother, Michael Jenkins. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her only child and devoted daughter, Josette R. Jenkins; her granddaughter, Jessica N. Foster and her great-granddaughters, Victoria and Sophia Burkett, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her brothers, Emmitt Jenkins Jr. and Cedric Earl Jenkins (Shawntain) along with many extended family members, classmates, and friends.

Jackie lived a life marked by faith, generosity, family, music, and love. She cared deeply, gave freely, encouraged faithfully, and loved wholeheartedly. Her beautiful smile, joyful laughter, words of encouragement, and devotion to God will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Jackie has completed her earthly journey and is now resting in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she kept the faith, loved the Lord, and left behind a beautiful legacy of compassion and love.

A funeral service to celebrate Jackie's life will be held at Clock Funeral Home on Saturday, July, 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM with VISITATION one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery. In keeping with her wishes, a family gathering with a shared meal will follow.
