ROWELL, MRS. JACOBA JANE Grand Haven, MI Mrs. Jacoba Jane Rowell, age 76, died Monday, January 28, 2002 at Select Specialty Hospital in Muskegon. She was born in Grand Haven, MI on April 29, 1925 to Joseph & Gertrude Voogt VerBerkmoes & married the late Herbert Rowell on August 18, 1945. Mrs. Rowell was a homemaker & during the war years she worked at Peerless Glove Factory. She was a lifetime member of First Reformed Church, was an avid collector of angels & she enjoyed making her children Christmas pillows. SURVIVORS: 2 sons, Charles Carla Rowell of Canton, MI & George Ruth Rowell of Newaygo, MI; 3 daughters, Emily Jess Jewell, Betty Jack Wydeck & June Michael Johnson, all of Grand Haven, MI; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Al Dorothy VerBerkmoes of Spring Lake, MI, Clarence Becky VerBerkmoes of Grand Haven, MI, Jerry Betty VerBerkmoes of Nunica, MI & Gary Jane VerBerkmoes of Grand Haven, MI; sister-in-law, Joan VanBerkmoes of Grand Haven, MI; best friend of 60 years, Ann Maxfield of Grand Haven, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert on November 5, 1994; a grandson, Anthony Williams & by a brother, Joseph VerBerkmoes. SERVICE: Thursday, January 31, 2002, 11:00 AM at First Reformed Church. Interment at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
