Jacob R. "Jack" Postema

Mr. Jacob "Jack" Richard Postema, age 75, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 4, 1942 to Jacob & Winifred (Dykstra) Postema and married the former Linda Bastian on June 12, 1981. Mr. Postema had been employed as a machinist for Federal Mogul for 34 years until retiring. Jacob was a member of Fruitport Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking and geo caching. But most of all he loved spending time with his family. SURVIVORS Wife of 35 years, Linda; children, Patti (David) Hazekamp, Susan (Bruce) Zitka, Jacob (Heather) Postema, James (Kris) Postema, Andrew (Magen) Postema; extra son, Kevin (Laura) Klassen; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and one on the way; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; 2 brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother. SERVICE Saturday, March 18, 2017, Noon with visitation one hour prior to the service at Fruitport Christian Reformed Church with Rev. John Huyser officiating. MEMORIAL: Sportsman for Youth.
